Transformation through data-driven design
With over 10 years of experience in product design and user experience, I have led and launched several innovative and customer-centric products across various business domains, such as e-commerce, cloud computing, analytics, and transportation. I have a Master of Science degree in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington, and I am proficient in Figma, a leading software for UX design and collaboration.
As a Product Design Lead at Amazon, I was responsible for driving the UX strategy for the Transportation Recipient Experience, QuickSight core analytics features, and FBA Seller tools, focusing on improving the interaction and data visualization for millions of users. I collaborated with cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, researchers, and stakeholders to deliver user-friendly, scalable, and data-driven solutions that aligned with the business goals and customer needs. I also mentored and coached other designers and contributed to the UX best practices and standards within the organizations I worked in. My passion is to create products that solve real-world problems and enhance the user experience.
I thrive on instigating transformation through design and research. Whether it's delving into user data, crafting fresh customer insights, conceiving innovative concepts, navigating diverse interaction possibilities, engaging with end users, validating assumptions, or fostering collaborative synergy for future product visions, I am at my best when untangling intricacies to craft fluid user experiences. This is the essence of design—it's my true passion.
At Amazon, I led transportation UX focussing on Carrier integration tools. I enjoyed seeing the UX practice form for Fulfillment by Amazon and Amazon Global Selling in understanding the changing seller base. I helped scale Amazon's fulfillment business from local to global, by focussing on seller needs.
At AWS, I worked on improving Business Intelligence and Analytics products; helping people transform data into meaningful insights.
I took on a lead roles in building a UX team for TRMS. I managed UX operations and roadmap planning for our team, while also leading design, mentoring other designers, and evangelizing UX methods to my larger organization. I designed a new investigation platform that enables internal associates to detect fraud.
I spent time at Expedia and over two years at the UW researching and designing building management software for Building Asset Management.
In my free time I enjoy design/build projects and photography. I love hiking the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Reach out - I am always up for virtual coffee.
